AMP Recover Adds Clinical Thought Leader to Advisory Board
AMP Recover, the leading digital care management platform for orthopedic rehabilitation, is pleased to announce the addition of a new member to its Advisory Board. David J. “D.J.” Kennedy, MD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), brings decades of clinical expertise with physical medicine and rehabilitation to the board.

DJ is a well respected leader in AMP’s areas of focus and his appointment is a strategic and critical component of our company’s growth.”
In his role at Vanderbilt, Dr. Kennedy leads a department of 43 faculty and 200 staff involved in clinical, training and research programs At VUMC. He is a deputy editor for The Spine Journal, and on the editorial board of Pain Medicine. He is on the board of directors for the Spine Intervention Society and the board of governors for the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He just completed a term of service on the board of trustees for the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
Prior to Vanderbilt, Dr. Kennedy was a clinical associate professor and residency program director in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with Stanford University’s Department of Orthopaedics. He has a history of treating high level and professional athletes from a variety of sports, and has served as a physician for Racing the Planet ultramarathon events in Madagascar, Nepal, Antarctica, the Sahara, Atacama and Gobi Deserts.
